We first met Lachy when he started with Ultimate Automotive as a student doing work experience. Ultimate Automotive always takes kids on work experience, because we're committed to the industry and to people-development," tells Darryl. "We got Peter two years ago and trained him to do radiators. Truth is, he can probably to that better than I can now. Colly was in the industry when I was an apprentice. We're lucky to have experienced mechanics like these."

In cooperation with local Gympie schools, our car service has provided trainee work positions as part of a program designed specifically for School-based Business Administration and Sport Coaching trainees.

Our car service is also sponsoring Owen MacPhillamy from Gympie in cycling competition with elite men at Queensland criterium bicycle race.

A cycling enthusiast himself, the head mechanic of Ultimate Automotive Darryl Blacker serves as the treasurer and president of Gympie Apex community service club that provides young civic minded people the opportunity to volunteer within the community as well as develop personally.
